I am an aspiring professional knitter, mommy to the most wonderful (and knitworthy) 8 year old and 5 year old children, wife to the handsome Technicool Dad, and former chemistry faculty member. About the Designer
Amanda Stephens is a knitwear designer from Atlanta, GA. Amanda lives with her husband, Joel, and their two beautiful children. Amanda was inspired to learn to knit in college after observing her friend knit cabled fingerless mitts on double-pointed needles, and she’s been obsessed with cables ever since.
While she holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Amanda chose to pause her career in teaching to spend more time with her family while they are young. Amanda still loves to teach and spends a portion of her time helping other knitters create beautiful projects.
